FAQs
What kind of tech can I recycle?
Macs and PCs (either desktops or laptops), provided they meet all the requirements and come with power supplies. Plus printers, monitors, phones, you name it. Anything that can’t be refurbished and reused will be recycled.
Is it secure?
Totally. IT Lifecycle Solutions provider KOcycle adheres to the highest level of data security standards, exclusively using the latest Blancco Data Erasure software. Once processed, you’ll receive certification that all your tech has been safely refurbed and recycled. They’re already trusted by a number of well-known London creative agencies, so you’re in the safest of hands.
Will it cost me anything?
Not a penny. Under normal circumstances there would be a cost, but KOcycle have kindly agreed to provide their services for free as part of The Mac Giveback. Props!
Sounds awesome. How do I get the ball rolling?
Just fill in your details in the form on the site. Don’t worry right now if you’re not 100% sure of the exact details of what you can donate, just let us know you’re interested and we can go from there.
When will you collect the tech I’m donating?
Once we’ve got a full list of everything from you, we’ll be in touch via email to find a convenient time in the week to swing by and take everything off your hands.
Who’ll get the tech once it’s been refurbished?
The erased and refurbished tech will be donated to The Switch – a London-based education charity that helps young people fulfil their potential. They work with a number of schools in Tower Hamlets, including many that teach creative courses. These are the schools that will receive the tech, helping the next generation of creatives come through.
